We’re a proudly local, independent optician based in Dún Laoghaire. Got Frames was founded by Agata, a Dispensing Optician with a passion for helping people find frames that truly fit.

We created our studio to offer a calm, welcoming space where you can take your time trying on frames, without feeling rushed or overwhelmed by crowded retail environments.

We now offer eye tests in our newly built testing room. You can book your eye test here. We recommend visiting our studio to explore the frames first, before booking your appointment. This gives you more time to find a frame you love and helps make your eye test appointment more relaxed.

If you’ve recently had an eye test, we can also dispense glasses using your existing prescription. Just bring a copy of your test results with you.

We’re also a little different. We specialise in solutions you may not easily find elsewhere, including a wide selection of low-bridge fit and XS frames, because one size certainly doesn’t fit all faces.

For those who prefer a quieter environment, we offer Quiet Hour — sensory-friendly appointments designed for people who benefit from a calmer, more comfortable shopping experience.

We also provide specialist frame alterations, such as adding pads on arms to acetate frames. This small adjustment can make a significant difference to comfort and fit, while helping your lenses perform as intended.

Sensory-Friendly Appointments

Visiting an optician can feel overwhelming. That’s why we offer a different approach. Our Quiet Hour is a private, one-to-one appointment in a calm, low-sensory environment—ideal for neurodivergent patients. It’s a free service to support our community. Please email us to book the Quiet Hour Appointment. Available from Monday to Friday from 9:00-10:00.

We look at the specific sport you'll be playing, the level of impact protection or safety required, and the best optical solution for your prescription. Sports eyewear can be customised with a wide range of lens options, including single-vision, progressive, photochromic (Transitions®), and tinted lenses, providing both excellent vision and the protection needed for your chosen activity.

We also specialise in children’s glasses, ensuring frames fit properly and stay in place. A good fit is essential for comfort, confidence, and a clear vision of the growing patients.
